Pelissier were chosen to design and produce bridge tables for new cruise liner 'Ambience'. The contract was placed via Atlantic Marine Interiors and the tables were installed in May. The tables, crafted from solid beech which was then given a special wood finish to match Atlantic's chosen pallette, have fixed legs rather than the folding legs that are found on most Pelissier tables.
Made specially in our Yorkshire factory they incorporate a thick wool baize woven in Lancashire.
Ambience is not the first cruise ship to install Pelissier tables and we hope it won't be the last as bridge is a very popular feature of cruising.
With more young women taking up the game of bridge, the demand for bridge tables in more modern finishes than the traditional dark brown with green baize is accelerating. Pelissier offer a large range of models in different wood finishes and baize colours.
What is the appeal of the game for young women? In an era where digital distractions dominate, young women are increasingly drawn to this classic card game that challenges their intellect and problem-solving skills.
